COLUMBUS, Ohio – Seven Ohio Dominican student-athletes have been selected to serve on the university’s prestigious President’s Society, serving as ambassadors of the President during special events on campus and at his home, including Board of Trustees meetings, major donor functions, the Black & Gold Club fundraiser, Homecoming and alumni events.
That group includes men’s golfer Kyle Burgess, women’s basketball player Kacee Hockenberry, women’s golfer Lauren Kyre, men’s track and field athlete Ethan Miller, volleyball player Brianna Reder, women’s track and field athlete Katie Rini and football player Charles Schaab.
They join returning President’s Society members and fellow student-athletes in women’s track and field athlete Rachel Collins and football player Mark Miller in the organization.
President’s Society members are chosen on the basis of their consistently high academic performance, engagement in a variety of activities impacting student and campus life, and the embodiment of the core values and mission of the University.
This year’s members will serve until May 2015.
