Cross Country Opens Season at the Tommy Evans Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's cross country teams will compete at the 51st Tommy Evans Invitational Saturday hosted by The University of Akron at the Silver Creek Cross Country Trails in Norton, Ohio.

The men's race will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the women's 5k race beginning at 11 a.m.

The men will face off with Akron, Baldwin Wallace, Malone, Ohio, Walsh and Youngstown State while the women will race against Akron, Baldwin Wallace, Cleveland State, Malone, Ohio, Robert Morris, Walsh and Youngstown State.

The Panthers have a few veteran male returners racing tomorrow as senior Jaren Gilliam (Euclid, Ohio) will look to lead the men's side along with juniors Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio) and Chayse Smith (Crooksville, Ohio).

On the women's side, a young group will be heading out on the course led by sophomores Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio) and Addy Miller-Brown (Marysville, Ohio).

Following the Tommy Evans Invitational, the Panthers will head to the National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Indiana on Friday, September 20.
