CANTON, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's cross country teams competed at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon hosted by Walsh on a wet course at GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio.
Walsh won the event on the women's side while Malone won the 8k race on the men's side.
On the women's side, the Panthers finished 10th in the 6k race with a score of 283 while the men finished 11th in the 8k race with a score of 326.
Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers was sophomore Kylee Risinger-O'Malley (Grove City, Ohio) who ran the course in a time of 30:51.6.
Leading the men was senior Alejandro Serna (Duncanville, Texas) who ran the 8k course in a time of 28:47.2.
Sophomore Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio) ran the course in a time of 32:10.2. Just behind McNair, were freshman Sean Noll (Sheridan, Ohio) and Adam Kamel (Berea, Ohio) who ran in times of 32:15.6 and 32:16.2.
The final event of the year for the cross country team takes place Saturday, November 17 at the NCAA Regional Championships in Hillsdale, Michigan.
