RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Senior Alejandro Serna (Duncanville, Tx.) won the men's 8k race and the Ohio Dominican women's cross country team won the Patty Forgey Invitational Saturday at Rio Grande.
On the men's side ODU finished third accruing 56 total points. Serna ran a personal best 8k time of 27:20.15 which was 16 seconds facter than the second place runner.
Trailing Serna was fellow senior Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) who finished 13th with a time of 29:42.15.
Sophomore Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio) also set a personal best time of 30:08.46 where he placed 15th in the 8K race.
The Ohio Dominican women won the 5k race accruing 42 total points.
ODU was led by senior Kristen Noecker (Circleville, Ohio) who finished sixth with a personal best time of 22:00.25 in the 5K race.
Junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) finished just behind Noekcer placing eighth with a time of 22:23.01.
Freshman Addy Miller-Brown (Marysville, Ohio) placed 12th with a time of 23:00.62 for her personal best in just her third race.
The Panthers cross country teams will head to the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Akron on Saturday, September 29 in Norton, Ohio
