Cross Country To Compete In NCAA Midwest Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Ohio Dominican's men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Cedarville University to compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional cross country meet at Elvin R. King cross country course.

Competition will begin with the women's 6k starting at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 10k will follow at 11:45.

The women's cross country team will be looking to continue their momentum from the G-MAC Championship on Oct. 21. The Panthers were led all year by senior Jalyn Devereaux (Carroll, Ohio), who posted four top 20 finishes this year for the Panthers with her best finish at the Jenna Strong Fall classic with a 17th place finish out of 300 competitors in a time of 19:26.2.  Senior Capria Hall (Zanesville, Ohio) and junior Kristen Noecker (Circleville, Ohio) look to continue their strong seasons. Hall has posted a season best in the 5k at the National Catholic meet on Sept. 15 with a time of 21:48.4. Noecker set a season's best run in the 5k at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic with a time of 21:25.2.

The men's cross country team has been led by senior Chad Ellis (Brook Park, Ohio). Ellis has had a solid senior season as he led the Panthers at the G-MAC Championship with a time of 27:33.1. Ellis also posted a season's best time at the OWU Invitational with a time of 26:58.6, which is the fastest 8k time of the year.

Tickets for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet is $7.00 per vehicle, which is payable upon entering the lot.
