COLUMBUS, Ohio – After a week off from competition, the Ohio Dominican cross country teams will be taking the course for the All-Ohio Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course, located at Cedarville University.
The All-Ohio Championships will begin Friday, September 29:
Men's 8k Championships - 2 p.m.
Women's 6k Championships – 2:45 p.m.
Men's Open 8k – 3:30 p.m.
Women's Open 6k – 4:15 p.m.
The Panthers started the season off strong with solid performances on both the men's and women's squad. The women's squad has been led by senior Jalyn Devereaux (Carroll, Ohio) as she has posted a personal best in the 6k at the OWU Invitational with a time of 23:07.8, which is the seventh fastest time in Ohio Dominican history. Also posting solid performances at the start of the season is senior Capria Hall (Zanesville, Ohio) and Kristen Noecker (Circleville, Ohio) as they both notched a top 25 finish at the Battle of Columbus.
On the men's side, seniors Chad Ellis (Brook Park, Ohio) and Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) have both started the season off with strong performances at the Battle of Columbus and the OWU Invitational. They both started off with personal bests in the 5k, while having their best 8k starts to begin the season.
The next meet for Ohio Dominican men's and women's cross country team will be Friday, October 13 for the #JennaStrong Fall Classic held at Wilmington University.
