Cross Country Competes At GLIAC Championship

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's women's cross country team finished in 11th place the GLIAC Championships on Saturday, matching the best finish in program history at the GLIAC meet.

Senior Nicole Brown (Columbus, Ohio) placed 39th with a time of 23:44.3, while junior Jalyn Devereaux (Carroll, Ohio) placed 62nd in 24:28.8. Senior Shakita Kabicek (Brook Park, Ohio) finished in 74th in 25:02.1, and senior Lindsay Davis (Lewis Center, Ohio) finished in a time of 26:16.8. Freshman Cassidy Long (Canal Winchester, Ohio) ran in a time of 26:31.0 and sophomore Kristen Noecker (Circleville, Ohio) completed the 6K course in 26:55.0.

The men's team finished in 14th place at the meet. Senior Patrick Ferguson (Austintown, Ohio) led the team with a time of 27:28.4. Sophomore Chad Ellis (Brook Park, Ohio) ran in a time of 27:47.7, followed by senior Andrew Beier (Bellevue, Ohio) in a time of 28:11.7. Sophomore Wes Pipher (Attica, Ohio) finished in a time of 28:17.0 and classmate Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) ran in 28:50.0.

The Panthers will travel to Evansville, Ind. on Nov. 5 for the NCAA Midwest Regional.
