No. 9 – Walker Rewrites Cross Country Record Books
In just her second season at Ohio Dominican, Tara Walker proved to be among the best distance runners in the GLIAC.
After a third-place finish at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational, Walker and the Panthers trekked to Notre Dame for the National Catholic Invitational. While there, Walker broke her own school record – which she had set at OWU – with a time of 18:21.3, which was good for 24th place out of 266 runners. Walker had the third-fastest time of any non-Division I runner as well.
For her performance, Walker would be named the GLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, a feat she would accomplish later in the fall after setting a new school record at the Wilmington Invitational.
