Volleyball Closes Season With Loss At Kentucky Wesleyan

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team saw its season end with a 3-0 (15-25, 24-26, 10-25) setback to host Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday in a G-MAC contest.

Freshman Alyssa Hoyng (Celina, Ohio) had seven kills and juniors Patricia Barreto (Findlay, Ohio) and Kelly Nadler (Leipsic, Ohio) each had five for the Panthers. Freshman Ashton Barr (New Castle, Ind.) led ODU with 18 assists.

The Panthers had a chance to even the match in the second set. After falling behind 14-6, ODU grabbed an 18-17 lead on a kill by junior Rebecca Skidmore (Westerville, Ohio). Later, a block by Hoyng and freshman Alexis Young (Gahanna, Ohio) gave the Panthers set point at 24-23, but KWC scored the final three points to win the set and ultimately claim the match.

Ohio Dominican finished the season with a 5-26 record (3-14 G-MAC).
