COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's volleyball team will look to bounce back from two road setbacks as the Panthers play host to Cedarville in a non-conference meeting Tuesday night in Alumni Hall.
ODU dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions on the road to Grand Valley State and Ferris State over the weekend. Both teams were ranked in the top-25 of the AVCA poll.
Lauren Kraemer (17 kills) and Jackie Oestreich (14) led the Panther offense in the two matches last weekend. Darby Slavin tallied 42 assists for the weekend, and Lauren Rindler (17 digs) and Bailey Barker (15) helped paced the defense.
Oestreich leads the GLIAC in hitting with a .359 percentage, a total that ranks 32nd in the nation. She has 138 kills and has blocked 29 shots in her rookie campaign.
Kraemer paces the team with 151 kills, averaging 2.80 per set, and is hitting .214. She has also tallied a team-best 40 blocks on the year. Kraemer ranks 11th in the GLIAC in total blocks and is 12th in points per set.
As a team, the Panthers are hitting .184 this season (ninth in the GLIAC), while the opposition is hitting .189.
Last year, ODU suffered a 3-0 loss at Cedarville. Slavin led the team with 23 assists and three aces, while Tory Thompson had nine kills and 12 digs.
The Yellow Jackets enter today's match with a record of 8-11, though they have won five straight matches. CU is hitting .148 as a team but has held the opposition to a .163 attack percentage.
Hannah Wagner leads the team with 177 kills and is hitting .264, Maddie Anderson has 382 assists and Angela Becker has 362 digs.

Ohio Dominican athletics is collecting canned food in the month of October to help those in need. Please bring your canned foods to the home matches on Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 against Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech.
