Volleyball Picked Fifth in GLIAC South Division

BAY CITY, Mich. – With 13 letterwinners returning, Ohio Dominican's volleyball team was projected to finish fifth in the GLIAC South Division, according to the preseason coaches' poll released today.

The Panthers earned 26 points in the voting, sitting five points behind fourth-place Malone.

Ashland (47 points), Wayne State (44 points) and Findlay (33 points) make up the top-three in the division. Sitting behind the Panthers in sixth place was Walsh (21 points), followed by Tiffin (15 points) and Lake Erie (seven).

Northwood was projected to win the North Division with 45 points.

The Panthers finished the 2012 campaign with a 13-16 record overall, including a 7-11 mark in GLIAC play.

ODU begins the 2013 season with four matches at the Tony Banner Invitational, hosted by Clarion University, starting at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 against Edinboro.
