Women's Soccer Welcomes Katie Bittner to Coaching Staff

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's soccer coach, Aimee Haywood, announced the hiring of assistant coach Katie Bittner to her staff.

Prior to coming to Ohio Dominican, Bittner was the head varsity coach at Harrison High School in West Lafeyette, Indiana. Bittner was named the conference coach of the year in 2017 and was also nominated for the district coach of the year. In her two years at Harrison High School, her teams won a sectional title, a conference championship, and at one point were ranked in the top 15 in the state which had never been done before in school history.

Bittner graduated from Purdue University in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education along with being a four year varsity soccer letter winner for the Boilermakers. Her senior year, Bittner was recognized as an all BigTen distinguished scholar athlete.

The former Boilermaker striker joins the Ohio Dominican women's soccer staff that brings back 13 players and finished the season with a 10-6-1 overall record and a 9-4-1 conference record.
