Women's Soccer Downed by Findlay in G-MAC Quarterfinal

FINDLAY, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team dropped a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Quarterfinal matchup by a score or 1-0 at DeHaven Field on Saturday afternoon. 

ODU's season comes to an end with a 10-5-1 overall record. Findlay (11-3-2) moves on to play in the G-MAC semifinal game on Thursday.

The Panther offense was only able to manage one shot by Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) in the first half while Findlay had four with three on goal. 

The crushing blow for the Panthers was in the 20th minute when Olivia Frank put the Oilers up 1-0. 

The second half saw ODU outshoot the Oilers 6-2 with all Panther shots coming on goal. ODU also had a 3-0 advantage on corner kicks in the second half. 

Buck led the Panther offense with three shots, all on goal while four other Panthers had at least one shot. 

Senior goalkeeper Marissa Wierzbicki (Powell, Ohio) face five shots in goal making four saves in all 90 minutes between the posts. 

ODU will bring back 13 players who started at least one game to next years team.
