COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team drew 1-1 with Tiffin in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at Panther Stadium.
The first half saw ODU outshoot the Dragons 8-3 while also having a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks but neither team could find the back of the net.
Tiffin got on the board early in the second half as a loose ball found the foot of Carla Briscoe to give the Dragons a 1-0 advantage.
That lead did not ast long as Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) blew past her defender and scored her sixth goal of the season to knot the game at 1-1.
ODU outshot Tiffin 13-5 in the second half and Shelby Haworth had seven saves in the half to send the game to overtime.
In each overtime, the Panthers had two shots and each goalkeeper had a save each with neither team able to convert a game winner.
Senior goalkeeper Marissa Wierzbicki (Powell, Ohio) faced four shots with three saves in all 110 minutes between the posts.
With the draw the Panthers go to 5-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference while Tiffin goes to 0-8-1 overall and 0-6-1 in the G-MAC.
The Panthers turn their attention to Trevecaa as they host the Trojans on Thursday, September 27 with kickoff set for 4 p.m.
