FULL UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican women's soccer seniors Lauren Bates (Hilliard, Ohio) and Alli Pavlik (Cortland, Ohio) and freshman Lindsay Buten (Cincinnati, Ohio) have been named to 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's All-Midwest Region teams.

Bates and Pavlik earned second team honors at forward and midfielder, while Buten garnered third team honors at defender.

Since 2011, 15 ODU women's soccer student-athletes have garnered all region honors from the coaches association. Three honorees represents the highest number of awarded student-athletes for ODUWS in a single season since 2014.

Bates and Pavlik enjoyed spectacular senior seasons, with Bates scoring 15 goals to rank third for most goals scored in a single season in ODUWS history and Pavlik tallying 11 goals with six game winners. Pavlik finished with 30 goals for her career to rank third all-time in goals scored in Panther history.

Buten started in all 23 games at defender for Ohio Dominican and notched two assists in her first season with the program, anchoring a Panther defense that allowed just 1.01 goals per match and recorded nine shutouts.

Ohio Dominican finished with a program-record 16 wins for a season in 2017 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the first time.
