Women's Golf Ends Fall with Eighth Place Finish

Owensboro, Kent. -- Ohio Dominican's women's golf team finished eighth at the Kentucky Wesleyan Fall Regional Preview at the Pearl Club in Owensboro, Kentucky where they had a combined score of 656 with rounds of 325 and 327. 

Illinois-Springfield won the event that featured 14 teams with a score of 613 (301-312). Natas Ainsley-Thomas of McKendree won the event postng a combined score of 149 with rounds of 75 and 74.

Junior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) led the Panther women with a tie for 15th place finish where she posted rounds of 77 and 79 for her fifth top-20 finish of the season.

Fellow junior Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) had her third top-20 finish of the year as she finished 20th with rounds of 79 and 80.

Placing 45th alone was junior Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) who posted rounds of 80 and 90. 

Junior Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) improved her score seven strokes from day one where she shot 89 to shot 82 on day two to tie for 46th. Senior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) came back to shoot 86 in the final round before shootng 90 in the first round to place tied for 54th to round out the Panther five.

Participating as individuals were freshman Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) and Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio). Gomez finished 56th posting rounds of 85 and 93 while Parker posted rounds of 84 and 97 to finish tied for 58th.

This wraps up the fall season for the Panther women as the next event is the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational at Kearney Links Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17.
