Women's Golf Finishes Seventh at Michael Corbett Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – A rain shortened event saw the Ohio Dominican women's golf team place seventh shooting 337 at the Michael Corbett Invitational at Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon.

Tiffin won the event shooting a team score of 319 where Alice Putoud won the event shooting a 74.

This event saw 20 teams with 107 golfers playing.

The Panthers were led by junior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) who tied for 12th shooting an 81. Krueger was tied for 8th in the field with 10 pars in her round.

Fellow junior Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) was just two shots behind her classmate as she posted an 83 to tie for 22nd in the large field. Swenson led the field in par-3 scoring as she posted -1 on the four par-3's.

Junior Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) posted a round of 86 for a tie for 37th while fellow classmate Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) was just behind posting an 87 which put her in a tie for 46th.

Senior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) rounded out the Panther five posting a 91 which tied her for 64th overall.

Playing as an individual for the Panthers was sophomore Ava Illig (Seville, Ohio) who tied for 86th posting a round of 97.

The Panthers women's golf team heads to play at Otter Creek Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday in Columbus, Indiana in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Fall Invitational.
