Romine, Swensen Tabbed As WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Sophomores Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) and Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar list.

Romine and Swensen were two of just 10 G-MAC student-athletes to earn the recognition.

Romine carries a 3.69 GPA and finished the season with an 83.4 scoring average. In 10 events, she registered five top-20 finishes last season. Romine fired 78s at both the ODU Cumberland Trail Classic and the Pat Clouse Invitational last fall and also shot a 79 at the Pat Clouse. She has a career scoring average of 83.7.

Swensen, who has a 3.54 GPA, picked up All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference honors in the spring and also earned a G-MAC Player of the Week award for her performance at the NC4K Classic. She had eight top-20 finishes in 10 events, including four top-10s, and had a scoring average of 81.8 this season.

She fired a season-best 75 at the Pat Clouse Invitational on Oct. 8, one of seven sub-80 rounds Swensen recorded on the year. Swensen also had a pair of 76s on the season, coming at the SVSU Spring Invitational and the NC4K Classic.
