BLACKLICK, Ohio — With a 329 on day one of the NC4K Classic, Ohio Dominican's women's golf team shot its lowest round of the spring season on Monday at Jefferson Country Club.
The Panthers will enter the final round on Tuesday in a tie for ninth place overall, with five Panthers shooting an 84 or lower on day one.
Leading the way in round one for ODU was sophomore Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio), who shot an 81 to finish +9 for the day. She tallied two birdies along the way and was fourth in Par 4 scoring with an average of 4.25. Junior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) recorded an 82 in round one, just one stroke shy of matching her season-low. Dill ranked in a tie for fourth in Par 5 scoring at 5.40. Sophomore Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) also shot an 82 and averaged 5.40 on Par 5s. Sophomores Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) and Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) each shot an 84 in round one.
Final round competition in the 2018 NC4K Classic begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday with a shotgun start.
