Swensen Leads Women’s Golf To Another Top 10 Finish At SVSU Spring Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Recording the third top 10 finish of her career, Ohio Dominican sophomore Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) led ODU's women's golf team to a ninth place team finish at the SVSU Spring Invitational, which concluded Sunday afternoon at Cherry Blossom Golf Club.

Swensen shot a 154 (78-76) to place in a tie for ninth overall and push the Panthers to their fifth top 10 finish in the team's last six meets.

Sophomore Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio) notched the second-lowest score for Ohio Dominican, coming in with a two-round total of 168 (84-84) to place in a tie for 46th out of 99 competitors. Jones was coming off a career-low round of 79 at the TaylorMade Intercollegiate last week and notched a pair of 84s this weekend to help the Panthers to the top 10 finish.

Coming in with the third-lowest score on the squad was sophomore Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio), who notched a 171 (84-87).

ODU will be in action next at the Perry Park Spring Fling on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25.
