ODU Completes Weekend Action at NKU Spring Invite
PERRY PARK, Kentucky - Ohio Dominican's women's golf team improved upon its first round score on Sunday en route to a 15th place finish at the two-day Northern Kentucky Spring Invitational at Perry Park Golf Resort in Perry Park, Kentucky.
The Panthers shot a combined 332 in the final round for a 665 (333-332) weekend total, finishing just one shot shy of Campbellsville (Ky.), two shots back of Gannon (Pa.) in 13th and six behind Wittenberg in 12th. Indianapolis (Ind.) ran away with the team crown, finishing 15 strokes ahead of runner-up Ashland with a total of 597.
After leading ODU at the Harmony Spring Break Invite a week ago, sophomore Ashley Swartz (Lima, OH) continued her strong start to the spring as she strung together rounds of 80 and finished in a six-way tie for 37th. Junior Amanda Costanzo (Silver Lake, OH) posted a 165 (82-83) to tie for 56th, while freshman Danielle Misencik (Concord, OH) came home in a tie for 64th following consecutive rounds of 84.
Next up for the Panthers is the two-day ODU "Give 18 Fore Cancer" Classic at Cumberland Trail GC in Pataskala, beginning this Saturday, March 31.
