TIFFIN, Ohio – A 15-3 run by Tiffin in the second half was too much for Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team as the Panthers fell 93-79 to the Dragons on Saturday afternoon in G-MAC play.

ODU, which had a 42-38 lead at halftime, trailed Tiffin 61-59 with three minutes left in the third quarter. The Dragons outscored ODU 11-3 to close the period, though, and scored the first four points in the fourth to build a double-digit lead, and the Panthers could not recover.

Freshman guard Kennedy Schlabach (Millersburg, Ohio) led the Panthers with 19 points, knocking down 5-of-7 from behind the arc, and also had four steals. Junior guard Alexa Fisher (Powell, Ohio) added 17 points with four assists and sophomore guard Angela Troyer (Sugarcreek, Ohio) finished with 15 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Junior Hannah Clark (Glenmont, Ohio) chipped in with 11 points and freshman Alli Kern (Waterford, Ohio) pulled down nine rebounds off the bench.

ODU trailed 26-18 less than a minute into the second quarter, but gained the lead on a three-ball by Schlabach to go in front 32-31. Another jumper by Schlabach and layups by Clark and Kern pushed the edge out to 38-31, and Clark's layup before the buzzer on a feed from Fisher gave the Panthers a 42-38 lead at the break.

The Panthers hit 19-of-34 (55.9 percent) shots from the field in the opening 20 minutes, scoring 24 points in the paint. ODU also had a 19-13 advantage on the glass.

Ohio Dominican returns home to host Malone at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Alumni Hall.
