COLUMBUS, Ohio – Competing in its first G-MAC Tournament, Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team will open play against a familiar foe as ODU takes on Findlay at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinal round.

This will be ODU's third matchup of the season against the Oilers, with Findlay taking the first two by scores of 85-72 on Dec. 13 in Alumni Hall and 92-88 in overtime in Croy Gymnasium on Jan. 2.

In ODU's Division II era, the Panthers are 7-9 against the Oilers. ODU had won six of seven meetings from 2014-17, though the Oilers have captured the last three.

The Panthers are competing in their third straight conference tournament. Last year, ODU had a 36-35 halftime lead in the GLIAC Quarterfinals at Michigan Tech before falling 82-66, and ODU had a 30-21 halftime lead against Walsh in 2016 but lost 68-62 in quarterfinal action as well.

ODU enters the tournament after winning consecutive home games against Alderson Broaddus (73-60) and Davis & Elkins (86-68) to close the regular season. In the final 60 minutes of basketball, ODU outscored its two foes 123-93, limiting them to 32.7 percent shooting in that stretch.

Sophomore Brittleigh Macaulay (Big Prairie, Ohio) posted her strongest back-to-back games, putting up 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting with five boards against AB and tallying 20 points with 11 rebounds against D&E.

Senior Darian Rose (Fort Loramie, Ohio) also had two strong games, scoring 19 points against AB with seven rebounds while going for 18 points and six assists against D&E.

Sophomore Alexa Fisher (Powell, Ohio) has scored in double figures in 10 straight games after posting 12 points in both contests last week. Junior Alexis Overly (Chillicothe, Ohio) averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the two games as well.
