COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After playing six of its last seven games on the road, Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team returns home for just the second time this month as the Panthers play host to Ohio Valley at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Alumni Hall.

This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams, with the Panthers scoring a 75-60 road win in Vienna on Dec. 2. Junior Alexis Overly (Chillicothe, Ohio) scored 22 points with seven rebounds and senior Sarah Futscher (Wilder, Ky.) added 13 points with nine rebounds and four blocked shots as the Panthers held OVU to 30.3 percent shooting.

In its last time out, ODU scored an 81-76 victory at Lake Erie on Saturday, marking the 11th straight game the Panthers have scored at least 70 points. The Panthers last had a streak of that length over the last two games of the 2003-04 season and the first nine games of the 2004-05 season.

The Panthers are now third in the G-MAC and 23rd in the nation in scoring offense at 77.9 points per game. ODU also ranks fourth in the league in field goal percentage at 44.5 percent, which is 29th nationally, and the Panthers' 76.2 percent rate at the charity stripe is third in the conference and 32nd in the country.

ODU shot a season-high 53.3 percent in the win over Lake Erie, outscoring the Storm 50-34 in the paint. The Panthers made 27-of-41 shots from inside the arc (65.9 percent) as Futscher went 12-of-13 from the field to score a career-high 25 points and senior Darian Rose (Fort Loramie, Ohio) finished with 21 points as well.

After scoring 28 points at Ursuline last Thursday, junior Emily Thomas (Pickerington, Ohio) handed out eight assists against the Storm, the most by a Panther since Overly also had eight against Tiffin on Jan. 14, 2017.
