COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team will play its first game in Alumni Hall this season as the Panthers welcome Saginaw Valley to Alumni Hall for a 5 p.m. tip on Tuesday.
The two teams met seven times as members of the GLIAC, with SVSU holding a slim 4-3 advantage. ODU won matchups in 2014 and 2015 before the Cardinals won 76-66 last year in Saginaw.
ODU looks to bounce back from a 77-50 setback at GLVC East favorite Southern Indiana last Thursday. The Panthers held a 29-26 lead at intermission, but were outscored 30-6 in the third quarter.
Alexis Overly scored 11 points and handed out four assists while pulling down four rebounds. Sarah Futscher scored in double figures for the third straight game as she added 10 points, and Darian Rose finished with eight points and six rebounds.
The Panthers, though, turned the ball over 30 times, and went 20-of-54 (37.0 percent) from the field while making just 3-of-13 from three-point range (23.1 percent).
ODU ranks eighth in the G-MAC in scoring offense (70.0 ppg) and field goal percentage (40.2 percent). The Panthers also sit fifth in the league in steals (9.0 spg) after coming up with 14 against USI, their most in a game since Jan. 19, 2017 at Findlay.
Megan Eyre ranks 15th in the league in scoring at 14.0 points per game and Futscher is 17th. Futscher is tied for eighth in the league in field goal percentage (60.0).
