Women’s Basketball Finishes With Seventh-Highest Team GPA In NCAA Division II

ATLANTA — With a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.717, Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team finished with the seventh-best women's basketball team GPA in NCAA Division II for the 2016-17 academic year and was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, the WBCA announced Wednesday.

The Panthers have been named to the WBCA Top 25 Honor Roll eight times overall, finishing with the highest team GPA in the nation for the 2014-15 and 2012-13 academic years, as well as finishing with the second-highest team GPA in the nation in 2015-16 and 2013-14.

The squad was honored by the GLIAC this spring, as 11 student-athletes were honored with GLIAC Academic Excellence honors, which are awarded to student-athletes with a cumulative GPA between 3.50 and 4.0.
