INDIANAPOLIS – Ohio Dominican senior women's basketball player Tori Beth Leader (West Portsmouth, Ohio) was nominated for the Allstate WBCA Good Works Team for her efforts on and off the court.
The Allstate WBCA Good Works Team recognizes players at all levels of college basketball whose charitable involvement and altruistic acts stand out amongst all other student-athletes participating in the sport. Athletic departments and sports information directors across the country nominated 97 WBCA student-athletes for the prestigious honor.
Leader is a biology major who is a two-time GLIAC Academic Excellence selection. A member of ODU's President's Society, Leader has been an active member of the ODU campus community during her four years. She has served as a tutor and is a member of the ASPIRE program and involved in community outreach programs, including the Special Olympics, LifeCare Alliance, Gahanna Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, and more.
On the court, Leader has played in 69 games for the Panthers, making 17 starts. She has averaged 7.1 points per game in her career, along with 2.8 rebounds per contest, in 14.6 minutes per game. Leader helped the Panthers finish with a 20-9 record last season, starting 14 games.
