Three School Records Broken as Track and Field Competes at the Ashland Alumni Open

ASHLAND, Ohio – Three school records were broken as the Ohio Dominican track and field teams competed at the Ashland Alumni Open Friday and Saturday.

On the men's side, senior Clayton Seymour (Ashville, Ohio) had a school record throwing 56.18 meters in the discus finishing second while junior Alex Botello (Hilliard, Ohio) cleared the 4.40 meter mark in the pole vault where he finishing fifth.

On the women's side, junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) broke her own school record for the third time this year in the 100 meter hurdles finishing in a time of 15.89. She also finished fifth in the high jump clearing the 1.58 meter mark.

Back on the men's side, senior Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) finished fourth in the 800 meter run finishing in 2:00.68 before finishing sixth in the 1,500 meter crossing the line in 4:08.15. Junior Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) also had a fourth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles finishing with a time of 56.18.

Back on the women's side, finishing with seventh place finishes, senior Micaela Carroll (Parma, Ohio) finished with a time of 5:56.89 in the 1,500 meter run while senior Makaylah Downour (Caroll, Ohio) finished the 800 meter run with a time of 2:27.18.

The Panther continue their outdoor season heading to the Hillsdale College Gina Relays and the Jesse Owens Relays next Friday, April 26.
