COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's track and field teams head to the Walsh Invitational on Saturday at the Dan McCallion Track on the campus of Walsh University.
Last week at the Tiffleberg Open, freshman Kaysi Morris set the school record in the pole vault clearing the 3.05 meter mark finishing seventh in the event. Also in field events, Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) finished eighth in the long jump clearing the 1.55 meter mark.
On the track, Tamasovich finished seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.56 and eighth in the 100 meter hurdles crossing the line in 16.27. Junior Shaunqueza Stevens (Dublin, Ohio) also scored in multiple events with a sixth place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.38 and a seventh place finish in the 400 meter race with a time of 1:01.82.
On the men's side, Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) had a season best second place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.16 while freshman Adam Kamel (Brook Park, Ohio) had a third place finish in the 800 meter race.
In the field events, senior Clayton Seymour (Ashville, Ohio) had a sixth place finish in the shot put throwing 14.41 meters before finishing seventh in the shot put with a throw of 44.77 meters later in the day.
The field events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's hammer throw while the running events begin at 12:30 p.m. with the women's 3000 meter steeplechase.
