Track and Field Heads to Capital to Compete in the Jessica Stark Last Chance Qualifier

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will compete on Saturday at the Jessica Stark Last Chance Qualifier at Capital.

The field events begin at 9:30 a.m. and the running events begin at 1 p.m.

On the women's side, junior Shaunqueza Stevens (Dublin, Ohio) is coming off a first place finish with a distance of 5.08 meters in the long jump at the Otterbein Invitational.  Also, she finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.05 and finished fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.87.

Junior Bryanna Barber (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) is coming off a first place finish in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.94. Also, she finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.77.

On the men's side, senior Clayton Seymour (Asheville, Ohio) is coming off a first place finish with a shot put throwing distance of 14.26 meters. Seymour finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 14.81 meters as well.

Junior Alex Botello (Hilliard, Ohio) is coming off a first place finish in the pole vault clearing 4.10 meters.

Fellow junior Isaiah Smith (Logan, Ohio) is coming off a second place finish in the high jump clearing 1.85 meters. Smith also finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.26 meters.
