Indoor Track Competes at the Otterbein Invitational

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Otterbein Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Clements Recreation Center.

Leading the way for the women's side was junior Shaunqueza Stevens (Dublin, Ohio) who finished first in the long jump with a distance of 5.08 meters. Stevens also finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.05 while also finishing fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.87.   

Junior Bryanna Barber (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) finished ahead of Stevens in the 60 meter dash winning the event with a time of 7.94. Barber also finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.77.

Senior Susan D'Isidoro (Twinsburg, Ohio) finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.71

Junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) had a third place finish in the high jump at 1.50 meters and a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:10.64.

Freshman Kaysi Morris finished second in the pole vault clearing 2.90 meters and sophomore Zoie Fisher (West Jefferson, Ohio) finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 9.5 meters.

Leading the men's side was senior Clayton Seymour (Asheville, Ohio) who won the shot put throwing distance of 14.26 meters while he finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 14.81 meters.

Junior Alex Botello (Hilliard, Ohio) finished first in the pole vault clearing 4.10 meters. Junior Isaiah Smith (Logan, Ohio) had a second place finish in the high jump clearing 1.85 meters and finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.26 meters.

Juniors Lance Warren (Memphis, Tennessee) and Cam Brandon (Cleveland, Ohio) each had third place finishes on the afternoon as Warren finished with a time of 7.22 in the 60 meter dash while Brandon finished with a time of 8.47 in the 60 meter hurdles.

Senior Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) had a third place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:35.16.

Finishing with fourth place finishes was sophomore Nick Middlesworth (Marion, Ohio) and freshman Ben Howard (Middlesburg Heights, Ohio) as Middlesworth finished with a time of 23.34 in the 200 meter dash and Howard with a time of 1:16.02 in the 500 meter dash.

The Panthers get back on the track next Saturday, January 19 at the Tiffin Dragon Open.
