MARIETTA, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's indoor track and field teams competed at the Marietta First Glimpse Saturday on the campus of Marietta College.
The Panther women finished second with 83 points while the men finished fifth with 60.5 points.
Charleston won the women's meet with a score of 107.5 while Frostburg State won the men' with a score of 110.
Leading the way for the women was junior Shaunqueza Stevens (Dublin, Ohio) who posted a first place finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.95 meters. Along with this, Stevens gathered eight more points with a second place finish in the 55 meters with a time of 7.38 and the 200 meter race with a time of 26.72.
Others garnering second place finishes include junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio), Kaysi Morris and Emma Barth (Dayton, Ohio). Tamasovich finished with a height of 1.60 meters in the high jump while Morris cleared the 2.90 mark in the pole vault. In the weight throw, Barth threw a distance of 13.53 meters.
Senior Susan D'Isidoro (Twinsburg, Ohio) placed third in the 800 with a time of 2:45.09 along with finishing fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:04.98. Freshman Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio) finished third in the 3000 meter race with a time of 12:26.26 and sophomore Zoie Fisher (West Jefferson, Ohio) rounded out the scoring with a fourth place finish in the triple jump reaching 9.52 meters.
Leading the men's squad was senior Clayton Seymour (Ashville, Ohio) who posted a second and third place finish on the afternoon. Seymour finished second in the shot put throwing 14.60 meters and finished third in the weight throw with a distance of 15.19.
Junior Isaiah Smith (Logan, Ohio) won the long jump event earning ten points clearing the 1.88 meter mark.
Senior Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) tied for third in the mile run with a time of 4:53.47 and also scored in the 800 meter race, finishing sixth with a time of 2:08.48.
Junior Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) posted a second place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 51.60 while sophomore Omar Jalloh (Pataskala, Ohio) finished sixth in the same race with a time of 53.89.
In the pole vault, junior Alex Botello (Hilliard, Ohio) cleared the 3.91 mark to finish fourth.
Posting eighth place finished were junior Cam Brandon (Cleveland, Ohio), freshman Adam Kamel (Brook Park, Ohio) and sophomore Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio). Brandon finished the 55 meters with a time of 6.83, Kamel finished the mile with a time of 5:00.99 and McNair had a time of 10:13.30 in the 3000 meter race.
ODU has a month off as they run their next event Saturday, January 12 at the Otterbein Invitational in Westerville, Ohio.
