Tamasovich, Carroll And Ellis Record First Place Finishes For Track And Field At Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Ohio Dominican track and field's Chad Ellis (Brook Park, Ohio), Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) and Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) all earned first place finishes at the Otterbein Invitational in the Clements Recreation Center on Saturday.

For the men, Ellis earned first place honors in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:42.38, while Carroll finished with the fastest time in the mile at 4:31.64. Carroll and Ellis have each finished in the top five of their respective events through the first two meets of the indoor season.

Taking top honors for the Panther women was Tamasovich, who finished in first place in the high jump and broke her own school record with a jump of 1.61 meters. Tamasovich also finished with the best jump at the Marietta College First Glimpse on December 9, 2017, jumping 1.57 meters. Both jumps are the top two marks for the women's indoor high jump in school history.

ODU will travel to Youngstown, Ohio next weekend for the YSU College Invitational on Friday.
