FINDLAY, Ohio — Ohio Dominican freshman Anthony Woods (Macedonia, Ohio) matched a personal best and school record time of 6.85 in the men's 60 meter dash to lead ODU's track and field team at the GLIAC Indoor Championships at the University of Findlay on Saturday.
Woods also finished with a personal best time of 22.68 in the men's 200 meter dash, the top time of the year in the men's 200 for ODU.
Senior Spencer Lester (Akron, Ohio) set a new personal best in the men's 400 meter run with a time of 52.56, also a new top time in the men's 400 for Ohio Dominican this season.
The men's squad also recorded a top six finish in the distance medley relay, as junior Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio), freshman Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio), sophomore Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) and sophomore Wes Pipher (Attica, Ohio) finished in 10:07.24.
For the women's squad, sophomore Imani Stepney (Columbus, Ohio) recorded a personal best in the 60 meter dash preliminaries and fastest time of the year for the Panthers in the event, finishing in 7.91 to place 13th out of 28. Freshman Shaunqueza Stevens (Dublin, Ohio) finished in a personal best time of 8.08, and freshman Bryanna Barber (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) also set a new personal best in the event with a finish of 8.14.
In the field, freshman Emma Barth (Dayton, Ohio) led ODU in the women's weight throw with a distance of 12.03 meters. Freshman Alexis Kefauver (Whitehall, Ohio) recorded a throw of 10.24 meters, her second-farthest throw of the season.
The Panthers will continue competition on the final day of the GLIAC Indoor Championships on Sunday, with field events beginning at 10:15 a.m. and running events starting at 12:30 p.m.
