COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's track and field team saw three competitors finish in the top four of their respective events at the Buckeye Tune-Up at The Ohio State University's French Fieldhouse on Friday.
Freshman Anthony Woods (Macedonia, Ohio) finished with the top men's 60 meter dash preliminary time, finishing in 6.89, and also recorded a finish of 6.89 in the men's 60 meter finals to take third place in the event. Woods set the men's indoor school record last Saturday at the Tiffin Dragon Invite, recording a time of 6.85, the 25th-fastest time in NCAA Division II this season.
Freshman Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) took fourth in the men's long jump with a final distance of 6.51 meters. Bass also set an ODU men's indoor school record this year, recording a distance of 6.86 meters in the men's long jump at Capital on January 28.
Junior Justin Carroll (Berea, Ohio) finished fourth in the men's 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.64, the second-fastest time in the 800 on the season for Ohio Dominican. Carroll holds the men's indoor school record in the event, recording a top time of 1:55.32 in 2015.
ODU track and field will prepare for the GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 at the University of Findlay's Robert A. Malcolm Athletic Center.
