COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's track and field teams will compete at the Jim Wuske Invitational at Mount Union on Saturday.
The field events are slated to begin at 11 a.m., with a 1 p.m. start for the running events.
The Panthers competed last Saturday at the Jessica Starks Open at Capital University, where the women finished in third place and the men took fifth.
On the women's side, sophomore Imani Stepney (Columbus, Ohio) won the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.11, while junior Jalyn Devereaux (Carroll, Ohio) took first in the 800 with a PR of 2:23.70. On the men's side, Taylor Williams (Houston, Texas) won the 200 meters with a time of 22.69, while Tre Smith crossed the line in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.77 to also take first.
Other top three finishers for the Panthers included Emma Barth (Dayton, Ohio) in the weight throw (second, 12.71 meters), sophomore Bobby Bogantz (Sunbury, Ohio) in the 800 (second, 1:59.90), senior Shakita Kabicek (Brook Park, Ohio) in the 400 (third, 1:05.85), freshman Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) in the long jump (third, 6.86 meters), sophomore Clayton Seymour (Ashville, Ohio) in the shot put (third, 13.63) and sophomore Connor Cooley (London, Ohio) in the weight throw (third, 13.81 meters).
