Softball Heads to Missouri and Illinois to Begin Spring Break

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's softball team heads out to Missouri and Illinois to take on Maryville, Missouri-St. Louis, and McKendree in three consecutive doubleheaders starting Saturday afternoon.

ODU heads into spring break with a 2-10 overall record after having this previous week off and dropping a pair of doubleheaders in Westfield, Indiana two weeks ago.

Sophomore Kristen Bales (Pickerington, Ohio) leads the Panthers offensively with a .323 batting average where she leads the G-MAC with three triples in the 12 games. Bales is also sixth in the conference in slugging percentage at .645.

Junior Landry Slider (Stow, Ohio) leads ODU with 11 hits and her .314 average is second on the team. Her 10 runs batted in leads the Panthers and is tied for fifth in the conference.

In the circle, junior Cameron Barber (Powell, Ohio) and freshman Sydney Long (Ashland, Ohio) lead the way as Barber has pitched 27.1 innings where she is sixth in the conference with 20 strikeouts and Long is fifth with 21 strikeouts in 21 innings.
