COLUMBUS, Ohio - The leaves have yet to change, but the Ohio Dominican softball team will be in full force this fall with a complete slate of games released this week by 17-year Panthers head coach, Marcella Vanlandingham.
ODU, with 13 new faces to the program, opens its fall campaign at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18 as former AMC rival Urbana visits Panther Field. The Panthers then head to Ohio State on Wednesday, Sept. 28 for a 6 p.m. showdown with the Buckeyes followed by a pair of games at the Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic the weekend of October 8 and 9 at OSU's Fred Beekman Park, benefitting the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. The opponents have yet to be determined.
As part of Homecoming weekend, the Panthers will also host their annual Alumni Game at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 with a picnic lunch set for noon.
