Panthers Score in Relay, Triple Jump to Conclude First GLIAC Championships
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's men's track and field program picked up points in the 4x100 meter relay and in the triple jump on Friday to wrap up the Panthers' first time competing at the GLIAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Grand Valley State.
ODU's 4x100 relay team of sophomore Darrell Harley (Columbus, Ohio), freshmen Brandon Anthony (Columbus, Ohio) and Malik Tuck (Medina, Ohio) and senior Germaine McAlpine (Canton, Ohio) took seventh in 43.19 to tally two points in the event.
Meanwhile, freshman Tyler Fifer (Westerville, Ohio) – who placed in the high jump and long jump yesterday – notched a sixth-place effort in the triple jump with a leap of 45-08.50.
Overall, the Panthers scored 10 points in the meet to conclude their first season in competing in the GLIAC.
On the women's side, freshman Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio) again paced ODU, placing 20th in the 5000 meter run with her time of 19:25.16, followed by senior Meghan Willeke (Lexington, Ohio) in 22nd in 19:35.49.
