Men's Soccer Drops Season Opener at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team was defeated by Bellarmine by a final score of 2-0 in the 2019 season opener Thursday afternoon in Louisville.

Junior Ian Crook (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the way for the Panthers between the posts as he had five saves on the evening when faced with seven shots on goal. The junior helped lead the defense to a 0-0 tie through the first 45 minutes.

Junior River Allbaugh (Pickerington, Ohio) had both Panther shots to lead the offense.

After a scoreless first half, Bellarmine was able to get on the board in the 60th minute to break the 0-0 tie. The Knights would add an insurance goal in the 87th minute to cap the 2-0 win.

The Panthers will be back in action with their home-opener Sunday against Mercyhurst at 2 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
