Men's Soccer Has Setback At Trevecca

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team dropped a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup Saturday evening at Trevecca Nazarene by a final score of 2-0.

With the loss, ODU drops to 7-8-1 overall and 6-6-1 in the conference while Trevecca goes to 8-6-1 overall and 7-6 in the conference.

Both Trojan goals were scored in the first half as they scored on a set piece on a corner kick in the 14th minute and off a cross in the 44th minute.

ODU was outshot 6-5 in the first half before outshooting the Trojans 8-4 in the second half. Each team had six shots on goal in the contest.

Trevecca had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks as well in the contest.

Sophomore Jaxson Szabo (Worthington, Ohio) led the Panther offense has both his shots were on goal while four other Panthers each had a shot on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Alec Mathew (Pataskala, Ohio) played all 90 minutes between the posts making four saves.

The final regular season contest is set for Tuesday, October 23 at Cedarville with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m.
