Early Goals Lead Ohio Dominican Past Walsh

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team earned their third consecutive shutout with a 3-0 win in Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup with Walsh Saturday at Milazzo Field in Canton.

Ohio Dominican came out storming in the first half with 14 shots with nine of them on goal to just five shots with three on goal for the Cavaliers.

The Panther offense scored all three of their goals in the first half as Ryan Kasprzak (Hillard, Ohio) got the Panthers  on the board first with a goal in the 15th minute off an assist from Jonathan Barnes (Winter Haven, Fl.)

Barnes then found the back of the net himself for his second goal of the year off an assist from Zach Ziolo (Dublin, Ohio) in the 35th minute to double the Panther lead to 2-0.

Just two minutes later, freshman Tyler Arnold (Westerville, Ohio) scored his first career goal as Ziolo earned himself another assist in the 37th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Alec Mathew (Pataskala, Ohio) earned his second career shutout has he posted four saves, playing all 90 minutes between the posts for the Panthers tonight.

The Panthers added 11 more shots in the second half with four more on goal while Walsh added five more with one on goal.
