PHILLIPI, W.Va. — Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team fell by a final tally of 4-1 at Alderson Broaddus in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday night.
Alderson Broaddus held a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal over the Panthers.
Freshman Foster Martin (Kings Mills, Ohio) scored the first goal of his Panther career and led ODU in shots on goal with two. Junior Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, Ohio) picked up his first assist of the season and finished with one shot on goal.
The Panther defense held the Battlers scoreless for the first 36 minutes of the match, but a goal by Oliver Korngor gave AB a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Trailing 2-0 in the 70th minute, Kasprzak found Martin for the first goal of his career, cutting ODU's deficit to 2-1.
But Alderson Broaddus pushed its lead to 3-1 in the 78th minute and scored in the 88th minute to extend the advantage to 4-1.
Ohio Dominican continues its West Virginia road trip on Saturday when it faces Davis & Elkins in a Great Midwest match at 3 p.m.
