Facemyer, Kasprzak Earn All-GLIAC Honors

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Senior Shane Facemyer (Sunbury, Ohio) was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team and sophomore Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, Ohio) earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention for the 2016 men's soccer season.

Voting was conducted by the league's head coaches to determine the awards.

Facemyer was one of four midfielders to earn All-GLIAC Second Team honors and finished his senior season with one goal, four assists, six points and a career-high shot on goal percentage of .368. Facemyer served as a captain for the squad, finishing his Panther career with 55 starts and appearing in 69 matches overall.

Kasprzak picked up All-GLIAC Honorable Mention for the second-straight season, finishing in a tie for third in the GLIAC in goals scored (11), third in shots (56) and third in shots on goal (27). Through two seasons as a Panther, Kasprzak has tallied 16 goals, five assists and 37 points with a shot on goal percentage of .521. Kasprzak has scored four game winning goals at ODU, and is currently on pace to finish in the top four in goals scored in a career in Ohio Dominican men's soccer history.

The Panthers finished fifth in the GLIAC this season with an overall record of 7-11-0 (7-9-0 GLIAC), more than doubling their win total from 2015.
