BAY CITY, Mich. – After scoring three goals and picking up two assists, sophomore forward Ryan Kasprzak (Hilliard, Ohio) was named the GLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Kasprzak, who is tied for third in the GLIAC in total goals scored with 11, found the back of the net twice in Sunday's 3-0 win over Findlay. He also contributed an assist on ODU's third goal.
Kasprzak also tallied an assist in ODU's double overtime setback to Tiffin on Friday night and scored a goal in Wednesday's contest against Lake Erie.
This is the first career GLIAC Player of the Week accolade for Kasprzak, who was an Honorable Mention All-GLIAC performer for the Panthers during his freshman campaign.
He started all 18 games this fall, tallying 26 points on those 11 goals and four assists. He notched a hat trick against Walsh on Sept. 14 and had the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Lake Erie on Sept. 28. His 26 points ranked third in the conference, as did his three game-winning goals.
