Men's Soccer Drops Match At No. 11 Northwood, 4-0

MIDLAND, Mich. — In its second match of the year against a ranked opponent, Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team fell 4-0 to No. 11 Northwood in a GLIAC contest on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers (2-3, 2-2 GLIAC) outshot the Timberwolves 13-12 and recorded five shots on goal in a losing effort.

Senior Brent Wahle (Pataskala, Ohio) led ODU with three shots on goal. Senior Michael Mueller (Aurora, Illinois) also took two shots on goal for the Panthers.

ODU trailed just 1-0 going into halftime, outshooting the Timberwolves 7-5 at the break with three shots on goal, but Northwood scored two goals in the 53rd minute to take a 3-0 lead and push the game out of reach, winning by a final score of 4-0.

Ohio Dominican will look to get back on track this week as it travels to Ohio Valley (4-3) on Thursday, September 22 for a non-conference matchup at 3:30 p.m. and will take on Ashland (2-2, 1-2 GLIAC) in a GLIAC matchup on Sunday, September 25 at 5 p.m.
