Men's Golf To Host Bill Blazer Memorial This Weekend at Cumberland Trail

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's golf team will host the Bill Blazer Memorial Tournament Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13 at Cumberland Trail with tee times set for 11 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday.

A year ago at this event, the Panthers finished in a tie for fifth place shooting 645 over the two day tournament. Senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) is the only returner that finished the tournament as he finished tied for 14th a year ago shooting 158 with scores of 84 and 74.

ODU is coming off an 11th place finish in the Findlay Spring Invitational where they were led by freshman Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) who finished in a tie for 22nd with a 36-hole score of 147. Holden leads the team in average at 75.7 with two top-10's so far on the year.

Fellow freshman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) is second on the squad as his average is 76.1 with one top-five finish and four top-20 finishes.

Three other Panthers have averages below 77 heading into the week with freshman Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) at 76.5, junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) at 76.6 and Wayman at 76.7.
