COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's men's golf team is projected 6th in the G-MAC Preseason Coaches' poll presented by Under Armour as announced on Thursday by the conference office.
The Men's golf team finished 5th in the GMAC in the fall season with a scoring average of 302.4.
They are led by three freshman in Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England), Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio), and Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio). Holden led the team with an average of 76.0, while Crowley and Herman were just behind with an average of 76.2 and 76.3, respectively.
The Panthers also have a pair of upperclassmen in the top six in junior Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) who has a scoring average of 76.8 while senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) is just behind with an average of 77.3.
Ohio Dominican accumulated 66 points while Findlay led the poll with 112 points (4 first-place votes) followed by Trevecca Nazarene with 107 points (2) (4 first-place votes), Hillsdale 106 points (3) (3 first-place votes), Tiffin 97 points (4) (1 first-place vote) and Kentucky Wesleyan 77 points (5).
The Panther's men's golf team begins their season at the SVSU Spring Invitational on March 16-17 at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Kentucky.
