Crowley Leads; Men's Golf Holds a Tie for Second After Day One of Flyer Intercollegiate

LEMONT, Ill. -- Ohio Dominican's men's golf team holds a three way tie for second place after shooting 301 on day one of the Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Illinois. 

The Panthers are tied with Minnesota State Mankato and Minot State while Texas Wesleyan holds first place after shooting 296. 

Freshman Dalton Crowley (Nashport, Ohio) holds the lead after the first round as he shot a 70 (-2) in his first round. Crowley holds a one shot lead over three others tied for second after they shot 71 (-1). 

Fellow freshman Ben Herman (Germantown, Ohio) holds a tie for 13th as he posted a round of 75 (+3). 

Another freshman, Robert Holden (Hertfordshire, England) and senior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) as they posted a round of 78 (+6) to place them in a tie for 40th. 

Rounding out the Panther five was freshman Brandon Wehrle (Findlay, Ohio) who is tied for 66th after shooting 81 (+9) after the first 18 holes. 

The event has 18 teams with 96 total competitors. 

Round two was suspended due to darkness and will continue tomorrow morning with the third round to follow at Cog Hill.
