BEAVERCREEK, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's men's golf teams are in third and fourth place out of eight competing teams through day one of the Cedarville Fall Invitational at Country Club of the North in Beavercreek, with three ODU men's golfers currently in the top 10 of the tournament field.
The Panthers saw their competing teams finish with day one scores of 314 and 323, with two golfers entering final day competition in the top five and one in the top 10.
Freshman Alex Heban (Toledo, Ohio) and junior Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) each shot a 76 in the first round and are currently in a tie for fourth place overall. The round is the second-lowest of the season for Heban and tied for the fourth-lowest round score on the year for Wayman.
Also in the top 10 heading into day two is senior Mark Creamer (Saratoga, California), who tied a season-low round of 78 to place in a tie for ninth in round one. Freshman Owen Johnson (Toledo, Ohio) came in with his second-lowest career round at 79 to rank in a tie for 13th, while senior Ryan Thompson (Dunfermline, Scotland) and sophomore Ryan Simi (Newark, Ohio) each shot an 80 in the first round and will begin day two play in a tie for 20th overall.
Ohio Dominican will look to finish strong on Sunday in the final round of the Cedarville Fall Invitational, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Country Club of the North in Beavercreek
